Mopar Tailgate Bed Extender - Black w/ ram Logo - Ram 1500 Classic (DS)/2500/3500

Note (Compatibility): Not compatible with RamBox cargo management systems.

Expand your hauling capability with the Mopar Tailgate Bed Extender for the Ram 1500 Classic (DS), Ram 2500, and Ram 3500 — a versatile, dual-function accessory that transforms how you load, organize, and transport oversized cargo.

Dual-Position Design: Pivots inward to act as a cargo divider that keeps loads from sliding forward in the bed, or flips outward over the lowered tailgate to extend the usable bed area — giving you two practical configurations in one accessory.

Extended Cargo Capacity: When flipped outward, the extender increases overall bed length beyond the tailgate, making it easier to haul long items such as lumber, ladders, pipes, and recreational equipment that would otherwise overhang unsecured.

Durable Black Aluminum Construction: Built from black painted aluminum extrusions with reinforced plastic uprights, forming a stable V-shaped framework engineered to handle demanding loads while resisting corrosion and wear.

Rear Light Visibility: Chamfered corners are incorporated into the design to maintain visibility of the truck's rear lights during transport — keeping you road-legal and safe when hauling extended loads.

Secure Tailgate Integration: Straps engage directly with the tailgate latches to hold the extender firmly in place during transport — no loose hardware, no rattling, no slipping under load.

Molded-In Grocery Bag Hooks: Features two molded-in grocery bag hooks and hangers built into the frame — a convenient detail for everyday use when the extender is deployed as a bed divider.

OEM-Engineered Fit: Designed to Mopar OEM specifications for a seamless, vehicle-specific installation that integrates directly with your existing cargo management setup — no drilling or modification required.

Part 82214148 is the smart upgrade for Ram 1500 Classic (DS), Ram 2500, and Ram 3500 owners who demand a factory-engineered solution to haul longer loads, keep cargo organized, and maximize every inch of their truck bed.
